Hello! I work with families of babies and very small children. One of the mothers I work with has a substance abuse problem and cannot be in the home until the substance abuse recovery program she is in says she's safe. She goes to visit under supervision. Her two children are 4 and 3. They don't understand why she can't be home. She'd like advice about what to tell them: where she is, when she'll be back, etc. It can be a very bad scene after she leaves (their father is taking care of them), and she would like to know how to make it better for them.

Thanks for any help anyone can offer.
