Stretching exercises will reduce tension that is present in the muscles with neck retraction that can allow the joints and muscles to begin working together more effectively. Consider stretching your neck six to eight times a day to reduce stiffness that can develop. Massaging the neck can also alleviate tension and increase flexibility with the muscles.
