It is common for a poor sleeping position to result in a backache. This holds true especially for those who sleep on their stomach. In order to prevent sleep-related back pains, it is advisable to sleep either on your back or side-ways. The ideal sleeping position is to sleep on your back with a pillow tucked under your knees. This helps in maintaining the normal curvature of your back bone while you sleep.
