My husband and I have recently had a newborn and bought all the big/necessary things we needed from prams.net, the clothes and toys being passed down from my side of the family with a few extras bought and now we are learning how to budget with a baby. It's difficult, obviously and we're finding it a little too hard. Does anyone have any advice?

In this case, you should write down your monthly budget and expenses to make sure you plan right and spend accordingly.

I would suggest you to limit the unnecessary expenses so that you can utilize it for your baby.

Ditto. The only way you can make sure that you are living within your means is by writing all of it down. Otherwise, you are going to overspend and maybe have expenses that are not important.
