It pains me to see so many women sell their jewelry to cash for gold scams, especially when it is their engagement rings or other family heirlooms. The important items are simply melted down and your given pennies on the dollar for their value. The worst part is, you'll never see your jewelry again.

An much more attractive alternative is to get a guaranteed secured loan using your jewelry. The rates are very reasonable, the loan-to-value is very generous, and the best part is that when you decide to pay back the principle, you will get your jewelry back! You never lose your ownership interest in the item unless you default on the loan - very much like an auto loan.

I have come across several women who have done this and bought an inexpensive but very nice cubic zirconium ring to temporarily wear as their wedding ring while their loan is outstanding.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help or any questions you may have.

Jessica Holloway
Client Representative
www.SmartTermLoans.com
Jessica@SmartTermLoans.com

Schedule Messages To Friends To Send Messages In Future Date

I love to send my friends birthday wishes each year, but always send them via email. While I do seem to remember to send the messages the day before, I seem to forget the day I should send it. I have used my calendar to help remember and also did a web search to see if there were other solutions. I came across a site called EternityMessage.com (http://www.EternityMessage.com) that let's you write message and even add pictures and then schedule that message to be sent up to 1 year in the future for FREE -- that answers my question - yeah! Unfortunately there's no recurring feature, but that's ok, since I want to customize the message each year anyway.

Tired Of Living Short Of Money

Hi Glen,
We are totally in over our head. Student loans, credit cards, mortgage, car payments, etc. Always looking for the next pay increase only to find that when it comes more expenses are on our plate. Two teens in private school. What is dawning on me as I think down the road is that rather than perhaps having the kids in a public school and paying off some bills right away and beginning to save. I am getting very tired of living this way. We all feel the pressure. I believe it does not have to be.
Thank you,
Tired

Dear Tired,
That sounds like a great way to get some working room in your budget. Most teens would rather be in public school anyway. I'm guessing that would free up over $ 1,000 per month. Here's a big caution!!!! Do not do this without a plan to use the extra money to pay off your debt. If you're tired of living this way, pay off your credit cards, car loans and don't use this credit again...save for what you want. I'm guessing the car loans and credit cards, once paid off, will free up another $ 1,000 per month. Since you'll be saving for college (coming very soon), don't pay down your mortgage.

So, in a year or 2, you'll have over $ 2,000 per month extra. I'd suggest you find a way in your new budget to reward yourselves and your teenagers for their sacrifice, say, after the credits cards are at 0, after the first car loan is paid off and after the second one is paid off. Make the rewards less than a couple hundred dollars each, and something you and they really want. That way, you'll all be working for the same thing and you'll be teaching the kids something very valuable about money. Then, back to work on the next phase of your financial goals.

How To Save $1000 Or More On Gasoline! – Part Ii

Here are more tips for saving gas:

Plan your driving – Program all your errands in advance and combine them into one trip

Buy groceries once a week – Many small trips to buy food and household items add up. Do all your shopping once a week.

Don’t drive during rush traffic hours - Whenever possible avoid driving during rush hour & other peak traffic periods.

Change your air filter – First check your filter and if the dust doesn’t shake out cleanly, buy a one and replace it yourself.

Remove unnecessary weight – Take out all the items in your car that you don’t need. This extra weight makes your car use more gas.

Park your car in the shade – Heat from the sun causes evaporative emissions past the gas cap because the fuel and the tank are expanding.

Fill up your tank when it’s cool – Gasoline is less volatile when the air is cooler, so we recommend early morning or late evening.

No air conditioning at low speeds – When driving on streets at low speed turn the AC and roll down your window. Driving on the highway, at speeds of 40 and over, open your windows.

Turn of electronic equipment – When starting your car, turn off all electronic devices such as AC, radio, etc. This will put less strain on your engine giving your better mileage.

Drive less while finding parking – When you drive around parking lots looking for the closest space, you’re wasting more gas. Instead, park sooner and walk. The extra walk will do you good.

BudgetSoftwareReviews.com

How To Save $1000 Or More On Gasoline! – Part I

You want to save as much money on gas as you can, but there are some things you may not be aware of that are causing you to spend unnecessary money. Write down the items that you may be missing and incorporate them to your car and driving habits.

Look for credit card discounts - Some credit cards offer gas savings when you use the card for purchases. This works in much the same way that some credit card companies give you frequent flyer miles when you use their card for purchases.

Wait until your car is almost empty - Don't fill until near empty. If you do this, it can extend your gas because you are hauling a lighter load as the tank nears empty. On cold days, however, you may not want to do this. Running a car with less fuel can be harder on the fuel pump life

Gasbuddy.com - This website called gas buddy will tell you where the deals are before you leave the house. Prices are statistically the cheapest on Wednesdays.

Listen to traffic reports - It's practically impossible to scan the radio without hitting a traffic report. Use them to avoid jams and other delays.

Don't accelerate going up hill - Don't accelerate up a hill. When approaching it, build up speed before the incline then maintain on the way up - and of course you can coast down without using the accelerator

Use your right foot only - To avoid riding the brake and wasting gas, use only your right foot to control both pedals.

Avoid unnecessary hard stops - Panic or hard stops will also cost you. Try to anticipate stop signs and traffic lights so you don’t accelerate more than you have to.

Drive evenly as much as possible - Drive evenly with a steady foot. Don't jiggle the accelerator. Quick starts - are a quick way to the poorhouse, and burn gas unnecessarily.

    * Get a GPS - A moderately priced GPS unit will pay for itself in wasted time and wasted gas. It's ideal for the directionally challenged or those of us who are just too embarrassed to ask directions

Avoid warming up your car - Avoid long warm-ups. Even on cold mornings, your car doesn't need more than a minute to get ready to go. Anything more and you're just wasting expensive fuel.

More tips on Part II

BudgetSoftwareReviews.com

Get Groceries For A Fraction Of Their Cost!

Get Groceries For A Fraction of Their Cost!

As a WAHM of 4, I am constantly trying to find ways to save money.
Just 2 weeks ago I watching television when a show for a company
located at: thecostslasher.com came on. The show interviewed
dozens of people throughout the US coming out of supermarkets showing
their receipts and the savings that they had gotten through this
program. In all the cases the people saved between 70% - 80% on their
entire grocery bills. I mentioned this program at my child's gymboree
class and several of the mothers told me they were already part of
this program and had also saved over 70% on all their grocery bills. I
figured I would try it too and sure enough just hours ago I returned
from the supermarket and saved $187.69 on my grocery bill! All I had
to pay was $13.63! This is such a great program, I am telling everyone
I see about it!
